Vaccines & Flu Shots

Vaccines are one of the fastest things you can do to protect your family, and you shouldn’t have to wait weeks for a shot. Health Express Urgent Care gives flu shots and other recommended immunizations at walk-in clinics across Northeast Ohio — no appointment needed, seven days a week.

Walk-in vaccines in Northeast Ohio

Staying current on vaccines is one of the simplest ways to protect yourself and the people around you, and at Health Express Urgent Care it doesn’t take weeks of scheduling. Our walk-in clinics across Northeast Ohio offer immunizations seven days a week, so a flu shot before work, a tetanus booster after a nasty cut, or a school-required immunization on the way home from practice can all happen today.

Our providers check your vaccine record, answer questions about side effects, and give the shot during the same visit. Vaccines can be added to a sick or injury visit, so you don’t have to make a second trip.

Flu shots this season

The flu vaccine is updated every year to match the strains circulating that season, which is why a shot last year doesn’t replace this year’s dose. For the 2025–2026 season, the vaccine is trivalent — designed against influenza A (H1N1 and H3N2) and influenza B (Victoria lineage) viruses — and is recommended for everyone six months and older.

Protection takes about two to three weeks to build, so getting vaccinated before flu activity ramps up in your community matters. Late summer through October is the ideal window, but protection can still be worthwhile later in the season — flu most often peaks in December and February, and activity can run into spring.

RSV vaccine for adults

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is best known as a childhood illness, but it can cause serious breathing problems in older adults. Current CDC guidance recommends an RSV vaccine for all adults ages 75 and older, and for adults ages 50 through 74 who have certain health conditions or live in settings where severe RSV is more likely.

Only one lifetime dose is needed, and protection lasts beyond a single season. The shot is available at our clinics alongside the flu vaccine — the two can be given at the same visit.

Tetanus, Tdap and other routine vaccines

Tetanus doesn’t wait for an appointment. If you step on a nail, tear up your hand on a fence, or bring in a wound that’s deep, dirty or crushed, we can clean and close the injury and give a tetanus booster if you’re not current.

We also give Tdap (which includes whooping cough protection), hepatitis A and B, pneumonia and shingles vaccines, and can review your child’s immunization record against school and camp requirements. Vaccine availability varies by clinic and season, so call ahead and we’ll confirm what’s in stock before you drive in.

What vaccines cost

Most insurance plans cover ACIP-recommended vaccines — including the flu shot — with no copay, because preventive vaccines are a required benefit under the Affordable Care Act. Bring your insurance card and we’ll verify coverage before the visit.

Uninsured patients pay a flat, upfront price instead of a surprise bill. Uninsured flu shots typically run about $40–$70, and uninsured RSV vaccines about $180–$250 per dose, with Medicare Part D covering RSV for most beneficiaries. Ask our team for current pricing before your visit.
